Wilfred Takanishi
Wilfred Osamu Takanishi of Cerritos, Calif., died March 25, 2010, at Lakewood Regional Medical Center at age 72. Born on March 24, 1938, in Waimea, Kaua‘i, he was an electronic engineer with TRW of Los Angeles.
He was preceded in death by his parents Hajime and Kimiyo Takanishi, and brother Edward.
He is survived by his wife Eleanor Takanishi; sons Eric of Cerritos, Calif. and Dean of Seattle, Wash.; and one grandson.
Visitation at 2:30 p.m., service at 3 p.m., on Saturday, April 10, at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery Pavilion in Hanapepe. Inurnment to follow.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.

Robert Rask
Robert H. Rask of Lihu‘e died April 3, 2010, at age 83. Born on May 24, 1926, in Miles City, Mont., he established R. Electric and Rosco Supply, and served on the board of Hale Opio and The Salvation Army.
He is survived by his wife Helen H. Herrick.
Donations in his name can be made to the Kaua‘i Humane Society.
No services will be held.

Reynaldo Aguinaldo
Reynaldo B. Aguinaldo of Koloa died March 28, 2010, at his home at age 66. Born on Feb. 24, 1944, in the Philippines, he was a retired grounds maintenance worker for Kiahuna Golf Course.
He is survived by his wife Evangeline Aguinaldo; sons Jeffrey (Nicolette) Aguinaldo and Leonard Aguinaldo; daughter Nohelani (Curt) Fune Jr.; four grandchildren; sisters Cynthia (Jacobino) Palalay and Raquel (Victorino) Aranda; brothers Romy (Linda) Aguinaldo and Anthony Aguinaldo; parents Floro and Flora Aguinaldo; parents-in-law Arsenio and Isabel Domingo; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 6 to 9 p.m., on Friday, April 9, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa. Visitation again from 8:30 to 10:15 a.m., Mass at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, April 10, at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa. Burial to follow at St. Raphael’s Church Cemetery.

Andrita Perreira
Andrita Mililani Perreira of Lihu‘e died at home on March 28, 2010, at age 69. Born on Aug. 19, 1940, in Honolulu, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gaylord Perreira.
She is survived by her children Ryan (Joe-Ann) Perreira of O‘ahu, Wesley (Stacy) Perreira of Lihu‘e and Trisha Perreira of Lihu‘e; mother Castora Suero of Lihu‘e; siblings Carmencita (Aurelio) Padilla of O‘ahu, Kathleen (Ronald) Aceret of Hanapepe, “Tino” (Carol) Suero III of Wailua Homesteads, Charlmaine (Adams) Buloson of Lihu‘e; seven grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 8 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 10, at Immaculate Conception Church. Inurnment to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is suggested.

Magua Hesapene
Magua Tanacio Hesapene died March 31, 2010, at his home at age 89. Born on May 22, 1920, in Zambuange Mindinao, Philippines, he retired as a mechanic at Kekaha Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by his brother Felix Libre; sons Dean Hespene and Kenneth Hesapene.
He is survived by his wife Corazon Hesapene; sons Marvin (Iris) Hesapene and David (Camille) Hesapene both of Hanapepe; daughters Verna (Mike) Kirsch of San Diego, Calif., Sharon (Byron) Ariola of Sherwood, Ore., and Audrey (Steve) Franco of Kekaha; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother Raymond Hesapene of Kekaha; sister Susanna (Joseph) Sabala of Pearl City, O‘ahu; daughter-in-law Juno Hesapene of San Diego, Calif.; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation from 8 to 10 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 10, at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Burial at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested.

Rose Keahi
Rose Schumacher Keahi of Anahola died April 3, 2010, at age 77. She retired as a preschool head teacher at Alphabetland School in Kahala for more than 35 years.
She was preceeded in death by her husband Elmer Charles Keahi and son Elmer C.K. Keahi.
She is survived by sons Scott Keahi of Arizona and Emerson Keahi of Anahola; daughter Twila (Bob) Otstot of Arizona; brothers Walter (Daisy) Schumacher of Honolulu and Rudolph (Ino) Schumacher of Las Vegas; sister Gladys Carter of West Virginia; daughter-in-law Joshlyn Keahi; grandchildren Diamond Keahi, Ramsey Keahi, Casey Keahi, Alex Keahi and Derek Keahi; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 9:30 a.m., services at 10:30 a.m., on Monday, April 12, at Diamond Head Mortuary. Inurnment to follow.

Juana Velasco
Juana Polomar Velasco of Lihu‘e died March 28, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 98. Born on June 16, 1911, in Bantay Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a laborer at the pineapple cannery.
She was preceded in death by her husband Angel Velasco.
She is survived by her daughter Basilia (Irenio) Asuncion of Lihu‘e; sons Jacinto Velasco of the Philippines and Dominador (Carmelita) Velasco of Kapa‘a; 12 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation from 8 to 9 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Saturday, April 17, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
