LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. announced 17 county employees from the county’s different departments to the Employee Recognition Program and 2009 Service Awards coordinated by the county’s Personnel Services Department.
Lorrie Eto of the County Clerk/Council Services is joined by Gale Kashuba of the Office of Elderly Affairs, Glenn Sato of the Office of Economic Development, Damien Ventura of the Finance Department, Kilipaki Vaughn and Chad Medeiros of the Kaua‘i Fire Department, Medeiros representing the Kaua‘i Ocean Safety Bureau.
Avis Hirahara of the Housing Agency, Kaui Tanaka of the Mayor’s Office, Scott Nakata and Pat Viernes of the county’s Parks and Recreation Department, Mike Laureta of the Planning Department, Karen Kapua and Kathleen Langtad of the Kaua‘i Police Department, Marla Torres-Lam of the Prosecuting Attorney’s office, Raymond Ornellas of Public Works, Madeline Yamaguchi of the Transportation Department and Faith Shiramizu of the Department of Water make up this year’s list of outstanding employees.
All of the outstanding employees will be honored during an upcoming Employees Banquet coordinated by the county’s Personnel Services department.
