LIHU‘E — County officials announced today that applications are now available for various positions in the 2010 Summer Enrichment Program.
High school or college students 16 years or older are eligible to apply for the following positions: clerks; pool lifeguards; and recreation aides, a county news release states.
Supervisory positions are also available for qualified college students and adults as program coordinators, site managers, and teachers.
Applications can be filled out and submitted online or downloaded from the county’s Web site, www.kauai.gov.
Applications can also be picked up at the Department of Parks and Recreation, suite 105, located in the Mo‘ikeha Building at the Lihu‘e Civic Center.
The deadline to apply is April 23.
Those selected for employment will be required to pass a drug-screening test and/or successfully complete a fingerprinting and criminal history record check.
Employment in the Summer Enrichment Program will run for approximately 6-1/2 weeks, from June 9 to July 26, except for pool lifeguards, whose employment will run from June 8 to Aug. 15.
