On the other side of town, the Baby Rockers at Wilcox Memorial Hospital were doing a bake sale to raise funds for the March of Dimes.
And speaking of food, mahalo to Domi Alayvilla (one of his ‘ohana is running for Miss Kaua‘i Filipina 2010) for the cake from Roland Tacsiat’s Kaua‘i Bakery crew, and if you need to know where the best peanut butter cookies are, we have to hope Lenore Klass opens up a bake shop somewhere.
Short of that, check out Liz Herring’s Dizzy Lizzy cookies at Seattle’s Best Coffee at Borders. Patrick Quinn of Icing on the Cake was on hand for the Monday blessing, and now you can get his pastries without having to negotiate the Wailua-bridge traffic.
OK, ‘nuff said…more food is on tap as Gary Furugen and the Big Save crew hosts the annual Easter egg hunt at 9 a.m. and Marissa Sandblom and the Grove Farm people do one at 10 a.m. at the Grove Farm swap meet (the FIRST Kaua‘i Island Robotics team will be there).
