Lion Harvey Kinoshita is already figuring out what he needs for the miso soup that is part of the East Kaua‘i Lions Pancake Breakfast coming up Sunday at the Wilcox School cafeteria.
Harvey, Roy Nishida, John Ochoco, Steven Fujii and JoAnn and Paul Steinfort were at the school, Friday, to present the winners of the annual Sight Is Beautiful poster contest.
Any of these Lions have tickets to the pancake breakfast if you haven’t gotten them yet. Or you can show up at the door starting at 6:30 a.m. and get hungry from the aroma of Harvey’s miso soup.
Hats off to the monthly winners of Wilcox School’s character development program — Kobe Viloria, Micah Cardinez, Kalyssa Tanihiro, Kapono Medina, Sanoe Carvalho and Tiffany Medina on earning premiums from Wal-Mart!
This is the week of the Waimea softball tournament and mahalo to Michael Koerte for getting the schedule in. Some of the Mid Pacific Institute parents who were here for the baseball tournament said they’ll be back for the softball tournament since they have sons that play baseball and daughters who are softball players.
The tournament starts Thursday at the Waimea Canyon Park.
