Congratulations to Lenore Klass on making the final 100 in the Pillsbury Bake-Off. If you’re really lucky, you might catch them at Kukui Grove, enjoying some McDonald’s and Kaua‘i Bakery malasada before she and Bob leave for Orlando, Fla., for the finals, April 12-13. Lenore said she’s got a sample for Dr. David Rovinsky as well. Good luck, Lenore!
Kudos to Kaua‘i Fire Chief Robert Westerman and Mark Nellis of the Waimea Theater on another great Waimea Town Celebration! Chris Faye said these are the two individuals who took the event by the horn and pulled it all together.
Kudos, too, to Patrick McLean, Tony Ricci and all the motorcycle riders for making the first motorcycle show, Sunday, a successful event. Did anyone see Dr. Maila Coleman coming straight from church?
Gerald Ako was stopping for a Sunday snack at 7-Eleven and said the Waimea/Hanapepe AJA baseball game got moved to this afternoon because the players were involved in the Antone Balocan Memorial Softball Tournament at the town celebration.
Just a reminder, the Waimea High School Baseball Invitational starts tomorrow in Waimea and Vidinha Stadium.
