LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation announced its 2010 Canoe Padding All-Star Teams on Wednesday.
The Girls Crew team was loaded with upperclassmen paddlers as Kaua‘i’s Carly Matsumoto, Kekai Pau and Emilie Bierly, Kapa‘a’s Pepe Kuhaulua and Waimea’s Alana Kanahele, all seniors, were named to the All-Star Team.
Kapa‘a junior Melanie Mendoza made the cut to complete the six honorees.
For the Boys Crew, Kapa‘a juniors Austin Delos Santos, Tyrus Moises and Mark Hatchell all made the team, as did Kaua‘i seniors Levi Miyashiro and Wesley Larue, and Waimea senior Devin Rull.
The Mixed Crew team was made up of two members from each school’s squad.
Kellsey Kelly, a senior, and Jake Corona, a junior, were the Waimea representatives.
Senior Daylan Cummings and junior Ashley Palacio-Ono were selected from Kaua‘i.
Senior Hilary Leasiolagi and junior Rylan Labuguen were chosen from the Kapa‘a squad.
