LIHU‘E — Kaua‘i Red Raiders forward Isabelle “Jazzy” Curtis was named to the Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association Div. II All-Tournament Soccer Team after her performance in last week’s event.
Kaua‘i reached the tournament after a shootout win over Mid-Pacific Institute in a play-in game, then won two matches to reach the state semifinals before falling to top-seeded Kailua by a 1-0 score.
The Raiders then lost a 4-2 final to the Kapa‘a Lady Warriors in the third-place matchup.
Though two Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation squads made the semifinals, Curtis was the only KIF player to make the All-Tournament Team.
She scored one goal in the team’s 9-0 opening win over Kaimuki and had both Raider goals in the final match against Kapa‘a.
Curtis was the only player outside of Pac-Five and Kailua — the two finalists — to receive the honor as each of those schools have five selectees apiece.
Pac-Five’s Geena Fong was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, with her lone goal coming in the shootout of her squad’s championship victory over Kailua.
