Willie Mock Jr.
Willie Deforest Mock Jr. of Marysville, Calif., died Dec. 12, 2009, at his home at age 78. Born on Aug. 25, 1931, in Los Angeles, Calif., he was a retired electrician and a veteran from the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his son Wyatt Mock and stepson Jonathan Silva.
He is survived by his wife Ramona Mock; daughter Kathy Sparlin; son Mark (Yvonne) Mock; stepdaughters Judith (Colin) McLedd and Brenda (John) Martin; stepson Clayton Silva; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services were held in California on Dec. 21, 2009.
Sherri Lawson
Sherri Ann Lawson of Kapa‘a died Jan. 8, 2010, at her home at age 46. Born on Dec. 13, 1963, in Wisconsin, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband Joel Lawson of Kapa‘a; daughters Candy Fleck and Cathy Fleck; sons Zack Fleck and Wyatt Fleck; sister Shirley (Tom) Stewart; brother Opi (Mary) Larson of Minnesota; and two grandchildren.
Memorial service at noon, on Sunday, Jan. 31, at Black Pot Beach Park. Scattering of ashes to follow.

Rodolfo Ortega
Rodolfo Antonio Domingo Ortega of Lihu‘e died Jan. 21, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 61. Born on Jan. 17, 1949, in Laoag City, Philippines, he was a caretaker.
He is survived by his mother Fausta Ortega of Lihu‘e; siblings Lucas Ray Ortega of O‘ahu, Patrocinia (Agustin) Schraeder of Wailua Homesteads, Cathrine Alayvilla of Lihu‘e and Arlene Palmeira of Wailua; half sister Sally (Timoteo) Eugenio of California; half brothers Antonio Ortega of Lihu‘e and Emerson Ortega of California; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation at 1 p.m., service at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 27, at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.

Reginald Kaluna
Reginald Kaikapu “Ka‘ahu” Kaluna of Hilo died Jan. 4, 2010, at Hilo Medical Center at age 81. Born on Nov. 12, 1928, in Honolulu, he retired as a pipefitter for the U.S. government at Pearl Harbor, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his son William “Alan” (Marie) Nihi; stepsons Gilbert (Jasmine) Pauole and Peter (Maureen) Pauole; stepdaughters Donna Kaohu and Rolanda (Vince) Pauole; brother Jerrimiah Kaluna; sister Ruth Allen; 26 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
Visitation at 2 p.m., service at 4 p.m., on Jan. 29, at Borthwick Hawai‘i Funeral Home. Second service from 9 a.m. to noon, on Feb. 5, at Auwaiolimu Congregational Church, 403 Auwaiolimu St., Honolulu. Inurnment to follow at the National Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl.

Shigenobu Kobashigawa
Shigenobu “Shige” Kobashigawa of Koloa died Jan. 18, 2010, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 84. Born on March 18, 1925, in Kekaha, he was a carpenter with Kaua‘i Builders.
He is survived by his wife Gladys Kobashigawa; sons Bert (Pat) Kobashigawa of Las Vegas, Lyle (Mary Ann) Kobashigawa of Hanapepe and Gregg Kobashigawa of Koloa; daughters Lynn (John) Pahk of Sunset Beach, O‘ahu, and Susan (Kenneth) Taniguchi of Kapa‘a; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Matsusuki Kobashigawa of Honolulu; nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 9:30 to 10 a.m., service from 10 to 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery Pavilion in Hanapepe. Burial to follow.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.
