LIHU‘E — An angry Puhi mother is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for bashing out the windows and tail lights of her son’s vehicle.
The incident took place on the grounds of Kilohana in Puhi, Jan. 7, between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9:45 p.m., and may be a random act of violence, or an act of revenge, said Rhoda Libre.
She is the mother of Jordan Pomaikai Libre-Harris, 20, whose vehicle was damaged while he was working at Lu‘au Kalamaku at Kilohana.
A door window, the windshield and rear window, as well as tail lights, were broken in the incident, though her son’s wallet and car stereo were not taken from the blue Acura, she said.
That same evening, she said she saw three males near her son’s other car along Puhi Road. In that instance, she called the police and the males left the scene.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Kaua‘i Police dispatch at 241-1711.
