Lihu‘e Pop Warner Association is looking for head coaches for its 2010 football and cheer season. Any interested applicants may call Lilane Corpuz at 635-6783.
Kawaihau Little League
Kawaihau Little League applications are still available for its Minors season for players age 8-11.
Registration forms are available at Pono Market and Kilauea Paint. Applications and volunteer forms can be turned in at the Kapa‘a New Town Park food booth on Monday from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Tryouts will be Monday and Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. each day.

Under Armour baseball tryouts on Jan. 23
The Under Armour Baseball Factory National Tryout will take place on Jan. 23 at Vidinha Stadium. Players are asked to report to the field at noon for registration, with the tryout scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.
Registration fee is $99. To enroll, contact Baseball Factory at 1-800-641-4487 ext. 101.
Top players from the tryout may be selected for one of the following national teams or events: Under Armour Southeast Regional Tournament, Omaha Pro Select Training & Tournament, USA Baseball 16U Championships and the Under Armour All-America Game, held at Wrigley Field in Chicago.
Positive coaching clinic Saturday
Kaua‘i’s youth sports coaches and parents will have the opportunity to participate in a free coaching education workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday in the Jam Room at the Kukui Grove Shopping Center.
The workshop is open to men and women coaches of all sports, and particularly those beginning their 2010 basketball season.
Circuit Court judge and Positive Coaching Alliance-Hawai‘i lead trainer Mike Town will facilitate the workshop.

Kekaha Youth Baseball Organization
Kekaha Youth Baseball Organization will be holding registration for its upcoming Mustang, Bronco and Pony seasons.
Remaining registration dates will be Monday through Wednesday, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Kekaha Park.
Required documentation will be a birth certificate and a medical insurance card.
Registration fee is $85, with checks payable to Kekaha Youth Baseball Organization.

Kaua‘i Men’s Soccer Association
The Kaua‘i Men’s Soccer Association will begin Sunday, with the season running through May 30. Doubleheaders will be played most Sundays at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium.
Four teams — Canefire, Afterburners, Kryptonite and Hanalei — will play a 15-game regular season, followed by two weeks of playoffs.
