Takeshi Tanimoto
Takeshi Tanimoto of Kaumakani died Dec. 5, 2009, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 89. Born on Jan. 10, 1920, in Makaweli, he was a retired plumber with Olokele Sugar.
He is survived by sons Larry (Emie) Tanimoto of Lihu‘e and Dean Tanimoto of Honolulu; daughter Patricia (Ricardo) Bressant of Honolulu; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and sister Hanako Haggard of California.
Services were private.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary Ltd.
Antero Nerpio
Antero Nerpio of Kapa‘a died Dec. 15, 2009, at age 84. Born in the Philippines, he was a sugar processor with McBryde and Olokele.
He was preceded in death by sons Mark Nerpio and Jonathan Nerpio.
He is survived by his wife Ann Nerpio; sons Jeremiah (Sharon) Nerpio of Kekaha and Wesley Nerpio of Kapa‘a; daughters Jessica Harris of Hilo and Rachel Bentley of Kapa‘a; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Stacy Nerpio of Wailuku, Maui; nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 2 to 3 p.m., service at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Dec. 26, at Kapa‘a Kingdom Hall.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.

Nabigio Macugay
Nabigio Dela Cruz Macugay of Kapa‘a died Dec. 18, 2009, at age 82. Born on Oct. 18, 1927, in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he retired from Lihu‘e Sugar Plantation Company and was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church and Laoag Saranay Association.
He is survived by his daughters Mildred (Lito) Asuncion of Hilo, Marilyn (Alan) Barayuga of Makakilo, Myrna (Cliff) Burigsay of Makakilo and Melissa (Jeffre) Juliano of Hawai‘i Kai; sisters Esperanza (Casimero) Tumaneng of California and Pacita M. Ramos of the Philippines; companion Rafaela Daguio of Kealia; eight grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 9 to 10:45 a.m., Mass at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 30, at St. Catherine’s Church. Burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery in Kealia.

Felicia Lord
Felicia A. Lord died Dec. 18, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 78. Born on Feb. 4, 1931, in the Philippines, she was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her parents Demetrio and Restituta Abique, and her husband Robert Lord Jr.
She is survived by her sons Wade (Kimberly) Lord, David (Susan) Lord and Robert Lord III, and five granddaughters.
Visitation on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery Pavilion in Hanapepe. Service at 12:30 p.m. Burial to follow at the Veterans Cemetery.
