Joyce Greenough
Joyce Greenough of Kapa‘a died on Dec. 9, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 87. She was a retired dispatcher for the Cerritos Police Department.
She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck Greenough.
She is survived by her daughter Lori Nicholas of Kapa‘a and her son Nick Cox of California.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
Daman Reyes
Daman Abraham Kimo Barrett Reyes of Kapa‘a died Dec. 10, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 25. Born on March 7, 1984, in Lihu‘e, he was a Kealia boy.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Trinidad Lasconia, James “Pops” Reyes and Diane Bagano, uncle Bob Bagano and cousins Koko Bagano.
He is survived by his father Randall Bagano; mother Roxanne Silva; grandfather Richard Cantere; great-grandpapa Henry Lasconia; grandmother Patricia Reyes; sisters Tassy Bagano-Diaz, Randi girl, Mahina Bagano, Azaria Ventura and Kiani Bagano; brothers Keanu Bagano, Li’i Cook; companion Daina Lopez; hanai sons Kaimana and Nainoa Lopez; uncles and aunts Blaine (Maile) Reyes, Barrett Reyes, Brian Reyes, Robin Bagano, Nicholas (Tina) Bagano, Lee Bagano, Marlene Silva, Dwight and Cookie, Duwayne, Bud and Renee; niece Hi‘ilawe Brede; nephew Mario Diaz III; cousins Kawena, Ezekiel, Thompson, Tyrell, Tyson, Kona, Kaipo, Payton, Arielle ,Nani, Maiiah, Mason, Kingz, Wailani, Austin, Preston, Pua, Briana, Kaper and numerous extended family members.
Visitation at 5 p.m., services at 6 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at Anahola Island Worship Center located at 4363 Hokualele Rd. Scattering of ashes at 8 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Kealia beach by Kealia river mouth.

Patrick Silva
Patrick “Macarthur” Douglas Silva of Kapa‘a died Dec. 1, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 67. Born on March 14, 1942, in Hawai‘i, he was a retired Chauffer.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Silva; brothers Stanley, Joseph, Lincoln and Melvin Silva.
He is survived by his brother Waldemar (Anita) Silva of Ewa Beach, O‘ahu; caregiver Dustin Von Neizmen; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 9 to 9:45 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 16, at St. Catherine’s Church in Kapa‘a. Burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Church Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Violet Sato
Violet Yukiko Sato of ‘Ele‘ele died Nov. 26, 2009, at Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 83. Born on Dec. 13, 1925, in Koloa, she was a seamstress with Iolani Kaua‘i.
She was preceded in death by her brother Tetsuo Konishi; brothers-in-law Haruo Asai, Wakamatsu Iwamoto and Yoneo Kaneko.
She is survived by her husband George M. Sato; son Clifton (Joyce) Sato of Kalaheo; daughters Arlene Sato of Honolulu and Sandra Sato of Hilo; grandchildren Elysse Sato and Jordan Sato both of Oregon; brothers Gary (Marjorie) Konishi, Donald (Mildred) Konishi both of Kaua‘i and Michael (Ruby) Konishi of Honolulu; sisters Kimiyo Asai, Natsuko Iwamoto, Linda (Yoshito) Kawakami and Elaine Kaneko all of Kaua‘i and sister-in-law Aileen Konishi.
Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec. 19, at Garden Island Mortuary Chapel.
Casual attire is suggests and the family requests that flowers be omitted.
