Mililani High School is coming to town, Saturday.
The Trojans, according to Kaua‘i boys soccer coaches Mark Brandeburg and Dennis Chan, will have a 24-member roster and will play four games at two fields.
Two of the four games will be at the Kapa‘a New Town Park stadium starting at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. with the remaining two games being played at the Hanapepe Stadium starting at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
Island School boys soccer will start the rotation, playing the Trojans starting at 9 a.m. Kapa‘a High School boys will take the field against the Trojans starting at 11 a.m.
The Kaua‘i Red Raiders start the afternoon series by matching up against Mililani starting at 2 p.m. and Waimea closes the series with its 4 p.m. start against Mililani.
“They’re a tough team,” Brandeburg said. “Most, if not all, of their players play club soccer on O‘ahu, and unlike previous years, they’re coming with just 24 boys.”
The Kaua‘i Interscholastic Federation soccer season starts Dec. 9 with two sets of games starting at 4:30 p.m. Kaua‘i plays host to Kapa‘a at Vidinha Stadium and Island School hosts Waimea at the Island School complex.
The JV games will be played on Dec. 10, also starting at 4:30 p.m.
