Bill Bettencourt’s friend was thrilled to read about Robyn Herbig’s ChicoBag and the Kalaheo School PTSA fundraiser. Jeanette, visiting here for the fifth time, said her husband worked in the area and became acquainted with Bill while he was the sports editor and Chico High School came to play Kapa‘a High School in 1975.
Hats off to Katie Beer and the Salvation Army luncheon committee on a great job, Wednesday! Joan Kealalio was on hand with her Kapa‘a High School Interact Club which was joined by Miss Kaua‘i Filipina Tashana Valmoja.
Ellie Lloyd made her annual appearance and it was nice to see Jeff Dorn doing the Elvis thing on stage, again. Larry Rivera is a regular at the luncheon and said Borders will be releasing his eighth CD this Sunday from 3:30 p.m.
Eddie Sarita is beyond Thanksgiving. He’s worrying about the house decorating (with lots of lights) in Hanama‘ulu for Christmas.
OK, time to get up early to check out the Kaua‘i Handworks craft fair at the Wilcox School cafeteria. Betty Kobayashi will be looking for you.
