Arlene Yoshimori needed another bag because she found so much stuff at the Kalaheo School rummage sale, Saturday. If anyone is looking for alternatives to plastic shopping bags, check out the ChicoBag being sold by the Kalaheo School PTSA as a fundraiser. It’s scrunchable (smaller than the canvas bags) and it’s made out of recyclable plastic bottles.
Congratulations to Eddie Sarita and the Hanama‘ulu Association on a great first swap meet, Saturday. Marie Carvalho and Doreen Yadao used the event to start raising funds for a Carvalho family reunion coming up in two years by selling jewelry, nicely bottled chili pepper water and pretzels (supersized!).
Eddie and Sonia Topenio (she found the pancit bihon plate) were checking out the bargains and Soncy Tamashiro joined Laurie Kelekoma in getting some stuff out of the house.
Edwin Vea will be selling handmade (on Kaua‘i!) table covers at the Kaua‘i Handworks craft fair, Saturday. Karin Panui said Edwin did such a good job with the manapua bags (hot/cold) they went through a thousand at the Grove Farm Swap Meet and almost 10,000 since they started selling them.
