Danielle Allianic netted the sole goal for GIFC to set the stage for the playoffs this Sunday at the North Vidinha fields.
With the win, the Kaua‘i Sparks, seeded No. 3 in the Under 12 division, will meet No. 2 Lokahi, the victim of a 2-1 loss to the Westside Falcons, last Sunday.
The Sparks tangle with Lokahi starting at noon. The No. 4 GIFC play the top-seeded Westside Falcons starting at 1:25 p.m.
In the final Under 12 game last week, the Kilauea Kilas were a 7-0 winner over Team Motiv-8.
Kyla Bandsma and Dodger Middlebrooked netted goals for the Westside Falcons U10 in their 2-1 edge over the Extreme Strikers in the final season game. April Barnes netted the Strikers’ only goal.
With the win, the Westside Falcons U10 earn the No. 2 spot and will face the No. 3 Extreme Strikers in a rematch starting at noon in the Under 10 division.
Pohaku, a 2-1 winner over the Westside Pride, earns the top seed in the division and will be in a rematch against the Westside Pride, No. 4 in the rankings, starting at 1:10 p.m.
In the final Under 10 match last week, the KSC-Blazing Angels U10 were a 4-1 winner over Team Chikara.
The GIFC-BU14 clinched the No. 1 spot with a 3-0 win over Hawaiian Heat and will face the KSC-Blazing Angels GU14 starting at noon. The Blazing Angels GU14 battled to a 1-1 tie with the Kapa‘a Warriors last week.
The Warriors, seeded No. 4 in the division, will face top-seeded GIFC-BU14 starting at 1:40 p.m.
Ha‘aheo Kaua‘i, a 7-1 winner over GIFC-BU16 last week, will face that same squad starting at noon.
