Lihu‘e quarterback Royce Allianic threw for two touchdowns to lead the American Youth Football League Bulldogs to a 14-0 win over the Kapa‘a Na Koa, Wednesday at the New Kapa‘a Town Park stadium.
Normally played at Vidinha Stadium, the game was relocated to Kapa‘a due to the ongoing Will Veeck soccer tournament, which featured the championships of the Under 12 and Under 14 girls.
Allianic spread his scoring over two halves, striking Keoki Palau for the first TD in the second quarter for 7-0 halftime lead after Kalen Lagoc-Chang booted the point-after.
He followed that score in the third quarter when he found R.J. Estacio on a 24-yard pass.
Chang’s PAT boot accounted for the final scoring.
Tina Albao, treasurer for the AYF, said ‘Ohana Diner with the Lopez family did a great job with the food booth and the audience was treated to some extra entertainment when a player from Na Koa joined the Bulldog team in performing the haka.
The final game of the AYF season will be played on Nov. 25 at Vidinha Stadium starting at 5:30 p.m.
