Julia Hall and her American Red Cross walkers dressed up for the occasion at the Kaua‘i United Way Walk, Saturday. Wade Lord said there were so many events, one volunteer got the United Way event mixed up with the Rotary Club of Kaua‘i Old Koloa Sugar Mill Scholarship Run, but was welcomed to the Kukui Grove event.
Kudos to the Nawiliwili Yacht Club Race Committee on a great job with the Halloween race, Saturday evening…the cast aboard OZone was a hoot, getting comments from spectators.
Shastin Snyder had the best “Aaarrgh” although Sharon Gibson and her were pretty close in terms of costuming as pirates.
Welcome to Kaua‘i, Jennifer Cheek!
Jennifer is the new development officer for Kaua‘i Hospice and Lori Miller said they were seeking out the Camper during last week’s blessing of the Koloa Rum Co.
Jennifer has been visiting Kaua‘i for 30 years, but decided to stay here permanently about a week ago, just about the time she started work at Kaua‘i Hospice. What a great way to celebrate National Hospice and Palliative Care Month!
Marion Penthallow is visiting here from the Big Island and was checking out the new Times Supermarket. She’s here for KVMH Foundation matters which means she might be at the annual Christmas craft fair this Saturday.
