Kaua‘i Fire Chief Robert Westerman was the mayor of who? and Allison Fraley was the Recycling Superhero, the recycling office done up with tips on recycling trash into Halloween goodies. David Bukoski (he was driving the Toyota Hybrid Highlander) came out from behind the green curtain to announce the winners and Theresa Koki was everywhere helping give treats to the costume contest entrants and then back to the anti-drug office for more treats there.
Kudos to Lindsey Williams at Wilcox School on a great Career Day, Wednesday. Lyle Kobashigawa (lilikoi cookies, anyone?) said he came because they asked, and Brian Kimura was stuck in the traffic jam, but made it a little late…that’s when the buying and selling started. Great job to the presenters, but a round of applause to the students who don’t realize that they have as much to teach the presenters as the presenters have to teach them.
Happy Halloween, Kaua‘i! Stay safe wherever you are!
