Kudos to KCC Chancellor Helen Cox and Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau’s Melissa McFerrin on a great job with the Kaua‘i Community Market despite the incessant rain, Saturday!
Wanda Shibata said if she knew the blessing was at 9:30 she would’ve gone to the Lihu‘e Missionary Church Bazaar after the market.
Kudos to Pam Madacey and Karen Nakamura on doing a great job co-chairing that bazaar. Jimmy Oyadomori said he had to keep walking around or he would fall asleep since he had to be at the church by 5 a.m., and how those people from the football game made it is beyond comprehension.
Just up the street (it gets real long when the rain keeps coming down), Jocelyn Barriga was having the Special Olympics bowling tournament (KIF bowling comes back this Saturday), and since there was no KIF cross country, Kendall Andersland was helping Laura Cristobal with the Salty Wahine line at the KCC market.
Laura said Kendall is preparing for the Tri-Kaua‘i triathlon and only recently got a bike.
OK, ‘nuff said … time to check out Kelvin Moniz at the food bank (look for the Fall Food and Fund Drive bags in Wednesday’s paper).
