A family-friendly activity area that is free to the public will be available prior to all of the 2009 University of Hawai‘i home football games at Aloha Stadium.
The Chevron Family Fun Zone, making its return for the second consecutive year, will be located in the Aloha Stadium South End Zone parking lot, asdjacent to the Centerplate tailgate tent. It will open three hours prior to kick off, states a UH release.
The activity area features a variety of exciting activities for all ages, including golf swing analysis by PGA professionals Shawn McCauley, PGA Aloha Section Tournament Director, Jason Diegert, GolfTec Honolulu, and Larry Keil, Turtle Bay, as well as inflatable bouncers, keiki rides, and a football toss cage from Xtreme Fun Rentals.
Numerous prize giveaways, including free hotel accomodations, free golf getaways, and drawings for Chevron with Techron gift cards add to the fun.
The First Tee program will be open to introduce the game of golf to youngsters of all backgrounds.
“We’re thrilled that Chevron has renewed its sponsorship of the Chevron Family Fun Zone,” said Jim Donovan, the UH athletics director.
“We want to continually find ways to add entertainment value to our fans and the Chevron Family Fun Zone will deliver a host of great activities free to our fans.”
