New girls volleyball club
Kia’kahi, a newly-formed volleyball club for girls, will be having an informational parents meeting for age groups 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U at 7 p.m. on Aug. 31 at the Waimea High School gym.
Tryouts will be on Sept. 5 at the Waimea High School gym. Registration for Girls 12U will be at 8 a.m., followed by a clinic starting at 8:30 a.m.
Registration for Girls 14U is at 2 p.m., with the clinic starting at 2:30 p.m.

Charity golf tournament
The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas will be organizing its first charity golf tournament with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on Sunday at the Prince Golf Course. The format will be a four-person scramble with a three-drive minimum. Entry fee is $100 per person, which includes greens fees, a golf cart, a 19th hole luncheon and entertainment.
Proceeds from the tournament will be used to support American Cancer Society Relay for Life, the Hawai‘i Hotel and Lodging Association’s Kaua‘i Charity Walk, the Kaua‘i Food Bank and The Westin Princeville Associate Scholarship Program.
