George Liwai Morita of Kapa‘a died July 19, 2009, at home at age 88. Born on July 5, 1921, in Kapa‘a, he retired as a construction worker with Lihu‘e Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his son Ellsworth Morita.
He is survived by his wife Rose; daughters Rebecca Morita of O‘ahu, Patricia Morita of Kapa‘a; son Patrick (Theresa) Morita of Wailua Homesteads; daughter-in-law Colleen Morita of O‘ahu; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
No services will be held.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Morita family with arrangements.
