Larry was at the Friday Sunshine market along with Bill Spitz and Larry Feinstein. But mahalo to Lenny Rapozo for taking the initiative to clear that access road so people didn’t have to negotiate that fallen bough in the Vidinha Stadium parking lot.
Lenny said he saw it when he got back from Honolulu, and then, while eating his lunch, checked with the office. The crews hadn’t gotten around to clearing the branch and with the Sunshine market scheduled to open in less than 15 minutes, Lenny simply hooked up his pickup and pulled the branch out of the road so traffic could pass. Way to go, Lenny! Even Raymond Rapozo stopped to talk story about that fallen branch.
Sharron Weber is a regular at the Friday market, and last week she had Wanda Shibata in tow to check out some of the offerings. Actually, the crowd was pretty good considering the amount of rain that fell, Thursday, and Glenna Ueunten is getting excited about the Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko participating in the one world, one family taiko event next Saturday.
