This was a case of taking advantage of the technology to erase the 100-mile gap between Kaua‘i and O‘ahu (hope Dave and Buster’s was good). Congratulations to kumu hula Leina‘ala Pavao-Jardin and all her girls!
Brandon Palacio was having his dinner at Kukui Grove, Friday, while his sisters were playing basketball on O‘ahu (even Kori Sakamoto got to take vacation from Lappert’s to make the trip).
Grandpa Baco Fernandez said you gotta go early to get tables and chairs when The Starlighters play, so he went to reserve theirs while waiting for Grandma Soly to finish work at Costco.
Kudos to Mary Nakamura of the Kaua‘i Academy of Creative Arts on a great Kids Art Exhibit that opened Friday at Kukui Grove Center.
If Art Umezu had gotten there earlier, it would have been nice to check out the Michael Jackson remembrance at the Jam Room, too.
Kudos to Kaua‘i High School coaches Derek Borrero, Jon Takamura and booster club president Ron Victorino on a successful clinic for the young people!
OK, off to the ground-breaking of the Kealia fire station.
