On the subject of food, Lenore Klass came up with some cookies that taste as good as they smell. They smell so good (Pam Woolway was sharing the aroma), you don’t want to eat them, but when you do, they are good! OK, chefs, gear up for the Farm Fair baking…gotta give her some competition.
Kudos to Matty Yoshioka and the KEDB ‘ohana on a wonderful (and successful!) Aloha ‘Ike fundraiser…a lot of people were curious about Clyde Hashimoto’s Vegetable Garden project from Kalaheo School, and Brevin Ako lost little time turning on his superstar mode with the CSI project.
David Ochoco was on his third emcee gig (he’s still young, too) and Shisa Kahaunaele said this was only her second gig, but both did very well… Megan Fujimoto even had time to smile from behind her video camera. Sens. Daniel Inouye and Daniel Akaka were the VIP guests, and you know they were VIP since Daniel Momohara was working the event with a fancy video rig.
Happy Fourth of July, Kaua‘i! Stay safe!
