Barbara was at the Monday Market at Kukui Grove along with Kenny, Joy and Kori Miyoshi at the Masa’s Shave Ice wagon that was enjoying its second appearance. And yes, Yukie De Silva, they have ice cream with shave ice, too!
Jonell Kaohelaulii said the wagons have proven to be a very popular addition to the Monday Market … Laurie Ho was buying dinner for papa from Brad Nakayama at the Hanalei Taro & Juice wagon.
Rowena Fukushima (she even brought a customer with her) had the right idea … buy the shave ice while everyone is eyeing the vendors to see where they’re going to go. That way, you beat the crowd.
Jenaiah Banasihan and Taylor Gaspar (you can ask her how many points she scored and she can tell you) were watching the final season games for the Girls Under 14. Actually, they were cheering for awhile before getting up where the boys were. Nicky Banasihan, Jenaiah’s sister, had a good night with eight points (must have been that non-fat yogurt from Costco).
Not to be outdone, Nicole Palacio was getting excited about playing the Hornet division games and Mariyah Oliver was trying not to get her photograph taken and still balance out the scoresheets.
