James Tadao Maeno of Kapa‘a died June 18, 2009, at Garden Isle Health Care at age 73. Born Aug. 14, 1935, in Kapa‘a, he retired from the County of Kaua‘i.
He is survived by sisters Bessie Cummings, Bernice Saiki, Alice Victorino, all of Kapa‘a, Jane (Richard) Kashiwabara of Lihu‘e, sister-in-law Minnie Maeno of Kapa‘a; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 9 a.m., service at 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, at Kaua‘i Veterans Center in Lihu‘e. Casual attire suggested; flowers are omitted.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Maeno family with arrangements.
