Hitoe Muraoka Kamm died on May 30, 2009 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at age 90. Born April 15, 1919, in Hawai‘i, she was a retired office clerk.
She is survived by her brother Ikipo Muraoka of Koloa, her sister Sueko M. Goon of New York and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 10-10:15 a.m., service at 10:30 a.m., on June 4, at Borthwick Chapel in Koloa. There will be another service on June 10, at Evangelical Christian Church in Honolulu, same time. Burial at 2:15 p.m. at Diamond Head Cemetery.
Kimiyo Akaji
Kimiyo Morimoto Akaji of Lawa‘i, died on May 14, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at age 92. Born October 18, 1916, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by son Bruce (Delia) Akaji of Kalaheo, daughters JoAnn (Roy) Fujimoto of Hilo and Barbara (Tom) Gargano of Georgia, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were private.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, LTD.
