Merrilyn L. Brunswick of Kilauea died on May 24, 2009. Born Nov. 2, 1938 in Honolulu, she was a former Princeville Hotel employee and manager of Whaler’s General Store in Hanalei.
She was preceded in death by mother Christine Walsh and brother Robert Walsh.
She is survived by son Michael Cox of Kilauea; grandchildren Brandi, Wil, Aliksru and Lani; Aunt Caroline Kaohi of O‘ahu and cousin Wayne Kaohi of O‘ahu.
A celebration of her life will be held from 1-6 p.m., June 13, at Anini Beach Park. Please call Michael at 635-3810 for condolences.

Hatsuno “Betty” Nishikawa of Waimea died on May 20, 2009, in her home at age 93. Born July 15, 1915, in San Gabriel, Calif., she was a sales clerk with J. Okada Store.
She is survived by son Harris Nishikawa of Waimea; daughter Carol (Richard) Rodriguez of Pueblo, Colo.; grandchildren Eve and Daniel Nishikawa; sisters Terri Kimura of Colorado, Lillian Bayquen of California, Kit Mizukami of California, Marilyn Watari of California; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 10-11 a.m., service at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Kalaheo Missionary Church. Casual attire suggested; flowers to be omitted.
