Howard was at the Kaua‘i Veterans Memorial Hospital, Wednesday, welcoming his third daughter, Khloe, while the Cubs were busy working to get a win over Kapa‘a at the PONY baseball playoffs at Hanapepe Stadium. Yes, the Cubs won, but Howard still had to take in the Kekaha School May Day program.
Happy birthday to Donna Schulze, who celebrated her special day earlier this week. According to the coconut wireless, her daughter Honey and BC took her on a cruise and when they reached Kaua‘i, booked a tour where the bus driver took them to Kilauea and announced the lavender house that is across the road from the blue house! That is special!
Ms. Beth Cuizon and the Waimea High School band was not part of the Memorial Day, but there is still time to hear them before school lets out … the Menehune band will be playing June 1 at the KCC Performing Arts Center starting at 7 p.m.
OK, time to check out Kahanu Smith and the Kamehameha Day celebration. Edie Bandman (she was looking for bargains at Wal-Mart) said Mokulele Air will be part of the parade, and of course, the handiwork of Kaua‘i Museum award winner Kalei Cadawas.
