Glenna Ueunten was trying to figure out the schedule for the weekend while juggling sales at the Sunshine Market, Friday.
She’ll have son Lyle doing the Ryukyukoku Matsuri Daiko, Friday night, but Lyle will be playing in the Red and White game, Saturday, so will miss the Okinawa Festival that opens Friday afternoon (after Sunshine Market… Larry Feinstein said the Yasutake pineapples should be coming out in a few weeks) from 5:30 p.m.
Sharron Weber is doing fill-in duty at Tire Warehouse since Laurie is gone for awhile, but she was still able to get in some golf at the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links qualifier, Sunday. Ross Shimabukuro (he’s on vacation until the Red-and-White game) was waiting for his tee time, and all the Big Save people were there, too.
In the meantime, hats off to Cory Gokan, Kyle Oshima and all those LBL people (Kristy Nii was getting some late-night stuffs at Wal-Mart) for doing such a great job with Da Bash.
Kahanu Smith said the Kamehameha Day parade and ho‘olaule‘a is Saturday at 10 a.m., but there’s also the Blue-and-White game and the Green-and-White game, both taking place Friday evening.
Oh well, there’s a couple of days to figure it out.
