Marc Ikehara
Marc M. Ikehara of Wailua Homesteads died May 15, 2009, in his home at age 52. Born Oct. 2, 1956, in Lihu‘e, he was an agent for Hawaiian Airlines.
He is survived by mother Yukiko Ikehara, brothers Lyle Ikehara of Kapa‘a and Guy Ikehara of Mililani, sister Karen Ikehara of Kapa‘a, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation 3-4 p.m. on Friday, May 22, at Kapa‘a Jodo Mission; service at 4 p.m.
Aloha attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Gina Guerber
Gina Guerber died May 10, 2009 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 61. Born Aug. 5, 1947 in Phoebus, Va., she was a pioneer in the computer industry and a watercolor artist.
She was preceded in death by parents John and Madelon Hedgepath of Lancaster, Calif.
She is survived by husband Jim Guerber of Po‘ipu, son Justin Guerber of Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter Jeni Guerber of Los Angeles, Calif., sister Lillian Hendricks of Santa Clarita, Calif. and brother John Hedgepath Jr. of Bakersfield, Calif.
A gathering for friends and family will be help in August.
Family requests donations in her name be given to Island School’s financial aid program.
Jack Reeves
Jack Smith Reeves died May 11, 2009, at his home in Vancouver, Wash., at age 60. Born Aug. 18, 1948, in Walla Walla, Wash., he was a union carpenter.
He was preceded in death by mother Ora Lee (Smith) Rowe, father Thomas Boyd Reeves and one grandson.
He is survived by wife Marla Jean (Barnard) Reeves; stepfather Willard Rowe; brothers Earl and Thomas Reeves; sisters Neva Robert, Reva Hutzel and Zeata Rowe; sons Brendan and Damon Reeves; and four grandchildren.
Services were held on Saturday, May 16, in Vancouver, Wash.
Stanley Kawakami
Stanley Iwao Kawakami of Kahului, Maui, died April. 27, 2009, at his residence at age 100. Born Jan. 2, 1909, in Hawai‘i, he was retired from Kauai Pineapple Co.
He was preceded in death by Misao Kawakami.
He is survived by daughters Aileen (Andrew) Nishimura, Gale Kondo, Madge (Roger) Cabudol and Joy Oura; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Private services were held.

Vernon Pryor
Vernon Joe Pryor of Hanapepe died May 12, 2009, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at age 62. Born Dec. 1, 1946, in Texas, he was a carpenter.
He was preceded in death by father Vernon Pryor and stepfather Gary Blankenship.
He is survived by mother Sylvia F. Blankenship, sister Ronda (Emilio) Fernandez, son Justin Pryor, daughter Enid Bissell, one grandson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation 4-6 p.m., on Wednesday, May 20, at Kings Chapel in ‘Ele‘ele.
Private services will be held at a later date.

Claire Frances Nonohea Gomez Heyne of Wainiha died May 2, 2009, in Honolulu. Born Aug. 30, 1943, in Honolulu, she was a retired cook.
She is survived by husband Mark Heyne of Wainiha; son Tyson Gomez of Wainiha; sister Bibiana (Pat) Flazer of Waipahu, Hawai‘i; grandchildren Tanya, Isaiah, Brenden and Kiare Gomez; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at their home in Wainiha at 1 p.m. on May 23, 2009. Family requests no flowers; casual attire suggested.

Trinidad Catherina Lorita of Haleiwa, Hawai‘i, died May 11, 2009, in Haleiwa at age 89. Born June 7, 1919, in Pepe‘ekeo, Hawai‘i, she was a housewife.
She is survived by children Anita Barnes, Arnold Lorita Jr., Felicia Bonachita., Joyce Guzman, Patricia Viquelia, Philip Lorita, Derek Lorita; brothers John Canon, Albert Canon, Eddie Canon and George Canon.

Teofista Ganal Balisacan died April 23, 2009. Born Sept. 14, 1913, in Sarrat Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by daughters Juliana (Felix) Ganiron of Lihu‘e, Marina (Tito) Gano of Lihu‘e; son Pedro (Caridad) Balisacan of Kapa‘a; grandchildren Fhilamer Joy (Thomas) Kim of Vancouver, B.C., Fern Jennifer (Flaviano Jr.) Reyes of Portland, Ore., Fae Gwen (Anson) Wooding of Boston, Mass., Michael Balisacan of Honolulu, Richie (Kanani) Gano of Lihu‘e; great-grandchildren T.J., Lauryn, Christian, Forrest, Richie Kimo and Madison; sisters-in-law Primitiva Balisacan, Esperanza Balisacan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
