Rebecca was at the Mental Health Awareness fair hosted by Friendship House and Kukui Grove (Lyle Kobashigawa, broken wing and all, was at both the Visitor Industry Charity Walk and the fair as was Theresa Koki). Hats off to Katie Vercelli and all the people involved in a great entertaining and informative event.
Of course, the same goes to Steve Yannarell (good thing he didn’t have 11 Under basketball), Sandi Kato-Klutke and all the other organizers of the Visitor Industry Charity Walk. It was absolutely great!
More congratulations go out to the graduates of Kaua‘i Community College. The culinary arts people were out helping at the Visitor Industry Charity Walk (chef Martina Hilldorfer was throwing omelets at the Waiohai tent), and even Jason Choi (dad BB had the ‘ohana in tow) was at work, Saturday.
OK, today and tomorrow you got a chance to hear Gary Shimabukuro (Shim Buck A Roo) and Detective Mark Middleton (people at the DARE educators’ conference said he was really good) talk about a range of subjects at Waimea Canyon Middle School cafeteria and the convention hall.
