LIHU‘E — The public is invited to Peace Appreciation Day, a community potluck being held in Waimea on Saturday, according to an e-mail sent to The Garden Island.
Community organizers will lead an exploration of what real security is for Kaua‘i, now and into the future.
Citizens with concerns about energy, agriculture, waste management, the military and the rights of Kanaka Maoli are encouraged to participate.
Bring your food offering and your mana‘o to Hofsgaard Park in Waimea, near the Captain Cook statue and Big Save, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event is sponsored by Kaua‘i Alliance for Peace and Social Justice.
