Matthew Cummings hit a game-high 25 points and Kealii Colipano added 17 points as Team Central posted a 46-25 showing over Westside Basketball in one of two games played in the county’s 11 and Under basketball program, Saturday at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
Chavis Garma paced the Westside effort with nine points. Briggs Agu, Cheyne Kua and Bobby Oliver added four points apiece for Westside.
Tyler Fernandez finished with 10 points; Brooks Bethel and Mel Aious added five points each to lead the G Unit to a 30-2 showing over Team Central that got its sole pair from Travis Ornellas.
In the scheduled girls game, Westside Basketball forfeited its match to Kaulupono after some of its players got sick.
With those games wrapped up, two more games remain in the county’s season, the next matches taking place Thursday with two games on tap.
Team Central 2 opens against Papalina starting at 6 p.m. followed by the Westside Girls meeting the Lihu‘e Girls starting at 7 p.m.
The season wraps up Saturday when Westside Basketball meets Team Central 1 starting at 9 a.m. followed by the Lihu‘e Girls meeting up with Kaulupono starting at 10 a.m.
