Congratulations to Aunty Kapu Kinimaka-Alquiza and Na Hula O Kaohikukapulani for representing Kaua‘i so well at this prestigious event … even got to see Wes Kaui performing next to Aunty Kapu. Their performance is so good the chicken skin comes as the dancers just make their way to the stage. Great job to all.
Hats off to Conrad Nonaka and the committee for the Culinary Institute of the Pacific Spring Gourmet Gala on another great event!
Helen Cox, the Kaua‘i Community College chancellor, said she has to be one of the luckiest chancellors to be able to enjoy such a great event that benefits the schools and the community.
She actually had a double-whammy since she was overwhelmed by the turnout and success of the Kaua‘i Farm Bureau’s Garden Fair, Saturday (kudos to Melissa McFerrin and her committee!).
OK, now it’s time to check out Aunty Joan Kealalio, Nellie Okamoto and the senior projects at Kapa‘a High School.
