Irmalee Pomroy
Irmalee Kamakaonaona Adams Pomroy of Anahola died April 11, 2009, at her home at age 81. She was born Feb. 5, 1928, in Waikele, O‘ahu.
She was preceded in death by husband Walter Melville Kaiapa Pomroy.
She is survived by daughter Irmalee Kamakaonaona (Kepa) Pomroy Maly of Lana‘i City, sons Paul Scott Tau‘a (Noelani) Pomroy of Nawiliwili and Sharon Pomroy of Anahola, brothers James Ka‘ohu (Winona) Adams and Michael Luther Aholo (Beverly) Adams, sisters Hester Kapuhealani Adams Rego and Marie Leilehua Adams McDonald, seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family from 11:30 a.m. to noon and for the public from noon to 2 p.m., Sunday, April 19, at Lihu‘e Veterans Center; service at 2 p.m. followed by pa‘ina.

Tonieng Erlandiz
Tonieng “Tony” Erlandiz of Kaneohe, O‘ahu, died April 9, 2009, at Castle Medical Center at age 63. Born June 4, 1945, in Hanapepe, he was a retired painter at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.
He is survived by companion Sandra Noburikawa; sons Tonieng, Jr., Travis, Harley, James, John and Shayne; daughters Terri-Lynn Kaaialii, Tristie Erlandiz and Tiffany Erlandiz; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers Filicisimo Reyes, James Reyes, August Erlandiz, Stanley Erlandiz and Edward Erlandiz; sisters Linda Sakai of Kalaheo and Dolores Erlandiz of Lihu‘e.
Visitation 9-12:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20, at Hope Chapel in Kaneohe Bay; service at 10:30 a.m.
Burial to follow at 1 p.m. at Hawaiian Memorial Park.

Setsuo Ishii
Setsuo Charles Ishii of ‘Ele‘ele died April 7, 2009, at home at age 72. Born April 29, 1936, in Koloa, he was a retired irrigator for McBryde and Kauai Coffee.
He was preceded in death by father Suke Ishii; mother Kane Ishii; and sisters Kikue Nagato, Yaeko Ishii and Helen Ota.
He is survived by wife Alma (Yanagimoto) Ishii of ‘Ele‘ele; daughters Lori (Chad) Cabral of Hanapepe and Leann Ishii (Wayne Matsushima) of ‘Ele‘ele; granddaughters Chandi Cabral and Leiani Matsushima; brothers Akira (Linda) Ishii of Koloa, Takeishi (Reiko) Ishii of California; sisters Hatsuyo Maeda of Lihu‘e, Haruko Otsubo of Lihu‘e, Tomiko (Kinjro) Kabazawa of Kalaheo and Lillian (Roy) Makizuru of Koloa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery Pavilion.; memorial service at 11 a.m.
Interment to follow.

Leoncia Cadavona Acob died March 20, 2009, at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home in ‘Oma‘o at age 100. Born Jan. 11, 1909, in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, she was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by husband Cornelio Acob, son Faustino Acob and daughter Leonora Acob.
She is survived by daughter Christina Acob (Epifanio) Batangan of Lihu‘e; grandchildren Edwin (Donna Yokoyama) Batangan of Costa Mesa, Calif., Emilie Batangan of Honolulu, Reuben (Lyla Eldredge) Batangan of Kahului, Maui, and Elsie (Glenn Perry) Batangan of Honolulu; great-grandchildren Kelson Batangan, Jarin Batangan, Justin Batangan, Megan Batangan and Jordan Batangan Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing 8:15-9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, at Immaculate Conception Church, Kapaia Road, Lihu‘e; Mass at 10 a.m.
Burial at Lihue Cemetery Association.

William Webb
William S. “Bill” Webb of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., and Kilauea died April 7, 2009, at age 87. Born Nov. 27, 1921, in Kirkland, Texas, he retired as the Orange County regional director of San Diego Gas and Electric Co.
He was preceded in death by wife Virginia.
He is survived by Cheryl Lansker of Hilo, Linda Ventura of Kilauea, Luanne Andres of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at his home in California on Saturday, April 18.
Valentine Adric Jr.
Valentine “Babe” “Papa” Adric Jr. died March 29, 2009, at age 58. Born Sept. 2, 1950, in Honolulu, he retired as a telephone splicer with Hawaiian Telephone Company.
He was preceeded in death by parents Valentine “Empa” Adric and Amy Lou “Emma” Adric, sister Naomi Akiu of Hilo and granddaughter Hi‘ilei Hooikaika of Anahola.
He is survived by wife Blossom Maile Adric of Anahola; daughters Valerie (Johnathan) Caminos and Ellen (Billy) Hooikaika; sons Kolo (Liana) Adric, Elvin Adric, Alika (Pi‘i) Adric and hanai son Kawika “Chuuch” Kahaunaele, all of Anahola; sisters Kathryn “Irish” (Jimmy) Lontayao of Hilo, Sunny Honda of Anahola; brothers Rodney “Oggie” (Charlene) Adric of Kapa‘a, Gary (Brenda) Adric of Anahola and Joseph (Grace) Adric of Kapa‘a; brother-in-law George Akiu; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, at Anahola Beach.
