Linda Wong
Linda Lovell Wong of Kapa‘a died March 31, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 75. Born June 6, 1933, in Moloa‘a, she was the owner/operator of Wong’s Care Home and a volunteer with Kauai Food Bank.
She was preceded in death by husband Allan C.K. Wong.
She is survived by children Melissa Wong of Honolulu, Benson (Gladys) Wong of Colton, Calif., Paul Chong of Kapa‘a, Lydia Chong of Kapa‘a, April (Tom) Wong Warling of Kapolei, O‘ahu; sisters Katherine (Raymond) Hoe, Jane Kau; grandchildren Samuel Chong and Lydia Fitting of Arizona, Javan Wong, Jonathan Chong and Porsha Dittmar of California, Ashley Nalani Warling of Orlando, Florida, James Warling and Shelly Warling of Minnesota; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, at Kapaa Seventh Day Adventist Church and again from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, April 9, at Kapaa Seventh Day Adventist Church with services beginning at 11 a.m.
Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Wong family with arrangements.
Stanley Kiyoshi Hanzawa
Stanley Kiyoshi Hanzawa of Aiea, O‘ahu, died March 12, 2009, at age 52. Born Feb. 26, 1957, in Honolulu, he was a project coordinator for Oceanic Time Warner Cable and a member of the IBEW Union.
He was preceded in death by parents Tamie “Baggy” and Yaeko Hanzawa of Aiea.
He is survived by sisters Susan (Leland) Kahawai of Lihu‘e and Sharon Tomita of Kaneohe; and Jordan and Nicole Kahawai and Sarah Tomita.
Visitation at 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, at Mililani Memorial Park Mortuary Mauka Chapel in Waipio, O‘ahu; services at 6 p.m.
Casual attire is requested.
