At 10 a.m. in Hanalei at Waioli Soccer Field and again at 4 p.m. in Lihu‘e at Vidinha Soccer Field there will be fun for the whole family.
Thousands of candy-filled eggs, an Easter show, prize drawings, games, a visit from the Easter Bunny and more. King’s Chapel is sponsoring the event. For more information call, 335-6845. There will be another similar event at 10 a.m. April 11 at Hanapepe Football Stadium and at 4 p.m. at Waimea Athletic Field.
Pu‘uwai Outrigger Canoe club
Wailua River
The club is starting its spring and summer outrigger canoe paddling program at 3 p.m. Monday. A copy of the child or young adults birth certificate will be needed. We accept children ages, 10 to 18- years old and are also looking for assistant coaches if anyone has some free time to donate to children and youth programs.
Kaua‘i High School
The HSA-Hawai‘i State Assessment testing will begin April 8. In preparation for this important period, parents and guardians of grade 10 students are encouraged to attend an informal meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the school library. Information about the HSA and how to prepare for the testing period will be shared. Other information includes the PTP-Personal Transition Plan, the teen needs to graduate in 2011.

Papa Leon Gonsalves family reunion

Descendants who came from Yauco, Puerto Rico in the early 1900’s are invited to a reunion to be held at the Kekaha Neighborhood Center. Come see who you are related to and how you are related. The last gathering of the Gonsalves clan was 1988. May 29 registration begins at 5:45 p.m. followed by cocktails and pupu. Music provided by Los Kauaiano’s. There will be a golf tournament May 30 and a dinner in Kekaha that night. May 31 will open with mass at St. Theresa’s Church. There will be a visit to the cemetery and a picnic lunch in the afternoon.
