Gary Hooser had the right word Saturday — “regrounding.” He was at the Prince Kuhio protocol ceremonies and said that was an opportunity for him to reground with Kaua‘i and its people. That word goes beyond the Prince Kuhio ceremonies.

That word goes beyond the Prince Kuhio ceremonies. Kudos to Ron Iida, Warren Perry, who is Police Chief Darryl’s brother, and all the Royal Order of Kamehameha, Chapter No. 3 for a great job as usual.
Mahalo to Jennifer Relacion for making her special delivery and more mahalo to Rita DeSilva for a beautiful note that makes any day a wonderful one … Moana DeSilva’s grandma makes a wicked strawberry cake and who leaked the secret about the Peeps? Mahalo to Sharron Weber for the fabulous purple miltonia as well.
Dick Holtzman was up and about, heading for the gym Thursday night and then interacting with the great Warren Perry at the PK ceremonies. Now, he gets to go to Cornell for their spring game.
Kudos to Sandi Kato-Klutke, Jolene Ogle (she’s going to Washington, D.C.), Doug Sears and Steve Yannarell on doing a great job with the Malama Awards — it’s Kaua‘i’s answer to the movie ceremony, but one better because it has Chef Larry Eells’ (he’s got something special cooking for the Visitor Industry Charity Walk) cuisine.
OK, ‘nuff said, time to get ready for April Fool’s.
