Computers seem to be having problems lately as Karen Matsumoto had to rely on old-fashioned fax machines when her computer died. But a quick trip to Costco and she had results back online for Saturday’s 13 and Under games.
Bobby Kamakele is having bugs with his machine, but Janis Benn, the VISTA volunteer at Kaua‘i Habitat for Humanity, can always call to set up the basketball games for the Canadian high school volunteers.
Congratulations to coach Phillip Baclayon and Mike Stevens on Hanakila finishing the county’s 13 and Under season undefeated. The black-and-gold were even visited by coach Mits Yokotake who came all the way to Kalaheo from a muddy Kilauea.
Fred Levinthol is getting excited about the 10th Annual Kaua‘i Collegiate Cup (there’s even a nice banner at the Wailua Golf Course). The free golf clinic is this afternoon followed by a college workshop featuring Robbie Shaw. The tournament kicks off Friday morning with 36 holes followed by another 18 holes, Saturday at the Wailua Golf Course. There is no admission to view the competition between some of the top college men golfers.
