Naoko Ho said today is the Ed Ho Memorial Swim Meet sponsored by the West Kaua‘i Lions Club. Stephanie Rogers, who was helping time at the KIF meets, said Swim Kaua‘i Aquatics will be coordinating the meet that is now part of the Waimea Town Celebration.
That is only one of the new things for this year. If you check out the rodeo, maybe you’ll get lucky and see Raquel Kaui get “rescued” by her sister Rhonda, too.
Congresswoman Maize Hirono got an education when she visited the children at Lihu‘e Court. Michelle Lemy (and where was rock star Stacy Serquina?) did a good job rounding up the keiki on the President’s Day holiday and after the saga of “Ferdinand,” Mazie got into a conversation with the children about Bakugan characters that the kids say are for sale at Wal-Mart.
Just down the street Kirk Chuan was working nights at Costco and is waiting for some new goodies to come into the electronics department. They already have two Netbook computers (sounds like the wave of the future), but he is expecting some new camera gear.
