Brandi Kam has this baking thing wired — she said it’s not just about which flour rises higher, it’s about which one tastes better. So, if the one that tastes better is less expensive than the one that rises higher, which would you choose?

Kenny Ishii was there to be installed as a KBA director. But where was he Thursday when it was a toss up between the saimin, the pork chops, or the French toast (made with sweetbread)?
Michael Hough was photographing the KBA event using a Nikon 700D, and said the quality of the images makes big posters a breeze.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Kaua‘i!
