The public is invited to take advantage of Swedish massage sessions being provided by the Kaua‘i Community College Professional Massage Therapy students.
Swedish massage is specifically designed to reduce stress, relax muscles, increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles, said Virginia Dunas, coordinator and principal instructor for the KCC Professional Massage Therapy program. It increases the pliability of ligaments and tendons and soothes the nervous system.
Sessions are scheduled for Jan. 28 from 3 to 5 p.m. with each session taking 50 minutes. Fee for each session is $25 cash, or a check made payable to the University of Hawai‘i.
Sessions of 80 minutes are scheduled for Jan. 31 starting at 1:30, 3 or 4:30 p.m. Fee for these sessions are $40.
All sessions take place at the KCC Nursing Building, and clients are reminded to be on time for appointments.
For reservations, call Dunas, at 742-9400, or e-mail vadunas@aloha.net
