Kuhio Highway roadwork
The state Department of Transportation advises Kaua‘i motorists that lane closures or intermittent delays of no more than 15 minutes may be expected on Kuhio Highway in both directions tomorrow through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily during construction activities at the following locations:
∫ North of Kilauea Town at the Kolo Road intersection for intersection improvements. Temporary traffic signals that have been in place will be removed. Traffic lights at the intersection have been placed in flashing mode to warn motorists of the change. Drivers are reminded to proceed through the intersection with caution.
∫ In Anahola, near the Pili Mai Ke Kai subdivision between Anahola Road and Kukuihale Road for paving operations. Completion of this project is anticipated by the end of January.
Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work areas and to allow for extra travel time. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
Waiolo Road resurfacing
The state Department of Transportation advises Kaua‘i motorists of alternating single lane closures on Waiolo Road in both directions tomorrow through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily for pavement resurfacing. The project is ongoing and anticipated to be complete by the end of May.
Motorists are advised to use caution while familiarizing themselves with the new traffic light patterns and to allow for extra travel time.
