Kapa‘a swimmers were getting a foot up on expenses for the state meet in February, but will be at the Waimea pool this morning for the first KIF swim meet.
Dr. Lloyd Fujimoto and daughter Meagan were among the New Year’s Eve shoppers at Costco (Kirk Chuan was shuttling between all those shopping carts). Grandma Soly Fernandez was between cleaning the grandpa Baco Fernandez offices and her job at Costco so took a break for coffee at the Wal-Mart club.
Clesson Lee is home from college and took in some of the KIF soccer games as did Rachael Taira who was with her parents in Kapa‘a where the winter break had Reggie McCabe collecting tickets and balancing security duties.
The rains didn’t stay away (Manny Henriques had the right idea — stay home) and the sad thing is that it was not a Kenny Ishii saimin night.
Evelyn Olores is driving one of the shuttle buses and got to spend some time at the Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor since the cruise ship was late in docking and traffic coming in from the Westside was almost nonexistent.
