“Club Math” is the first ever student math club at Kaua‘i Community College. This club is not just for elite mathematicians.
Levels of ability range from pre-algebra to calculus and even no math at all. Any KCC student may attend the weekly meetings from 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays in the Natural Science building, room 110. There are group study sessions where students work together to understand certain concepts.
The club is interested in the practicality and usefulness of mathematics in everyday living.
The primary goal is to involve the community by promoting this ideal. That said, what follows is a math puzzle. The club will submit weekly brainteasers for the education page. The following week, the answer will be provided.
