Levi Miyashiro of Kapa‘a and Kelli Oride of Lihu‘e will be among the field when the Hawai‘i State Junior Golf Association opens its 2008 Ulupalakua Ranch Tournament of Champions at the Wailea Golf Club Gold Course, Saturday and Sunday.
The HSJGA ends its season by inviting all champions from every 2008 HSJGA tournament to compete in this event. It also serves as the final opportunity to earn points towards HSJGA Players of the Year.
All of the 2008 Players of the Year will be recognized at the Aloha Section Professional Golfers Association Hawai‘i Golf Ho‘olaule‘a Awards dinner on Jan. 16 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Tapa Ballroom.
The tournament on Maui is made possible through the title sponsors, C. Pardee Erdman Jr of Ulupalakua Ranch and the hosting Wailea Golf Club.
The age divisions, pars and yardages are as follows: 10 and Under Boys and Girls — par 72, 4,597 yards; 11 to 12 Boys and Girls — par 72, 5,442 yards; 13 to 18 Girls — par 72, 6,152 yards; 13-14 Boys — par 72, 6,653 yards; 15 to 18 Boys — par 72, 7,078 yards.
